Premier Beauty Conference boasts Innovation and Industry Insight

Press Release: 1 February 2007

Beauty industry innovation and insight will be at the forefront of the Expand Your Business Conference, featuring alongside the 2007 Melbourne International Beauty Expo, Saturday 28 – Sunday 29 April 2007, Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre.

The premier educational event for the Australian beauty industry in 2007, this dynamic, content-rich conference program is designed to address the needs of the rapidly changing beauty industry, and will be hosted by an impressive line-up of internationally renowned speakers. The conference will ensure beauty professionals are kept up to date with the latest trends and are well-informed with cutting-edge information.

“The Melbourne International Beauty Expo has put together an excellent and relevant education program.  It is the best I have seen in this space and I get to see them all,” said Stuart Ford, Chief Marketing Officer, The Golden Door Group & Cypress Lakes Group.

Successful Business Entrepreneur and Special guest to the conference is distinguished keynote speaker Janine Allis, founder of Boost Juice Bars and winner of the prestigious Telstra Business Women’s Award, who is currently riding the wave of spectacular growth within her industry. She will explore what it takes to run a successful business and share her extensive knowledge of growing small businesses, and explain how through focus, passion and persistence success can be readily achieved.

Joining Allis, is renowned keynote speaker Dr Michael Zacharia, President of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and the Australasian Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.  Zacharia will look at trends in aesthetic medicine and the popularity and demand of non-surgical approaches, and will enlighten guests about the ‘holy grail’ of anti-aging procedures and discuss new non-surgical treatment options.

Proudly presented by Gold Conference sponsor Pevonia Botanica and Conference sponsor Payot, the conference will feature Industry Insight and Better Business sessions covering a broad range of topical issues.

At the Better Business sessions attendees will receive advice on improving their business, including what it takes to run a successful business; marketing and branding strategies to power your business; connecting with your market and using the Internet to drive customers to your door; how to grow your business; the new workplace environment and understanding how it will impact on staffing management; how to secure peak staff performers and how to maximise staff potential.

Industry Insight sessions will include how cosmetic ingredients enter the skin; the art and science of treating pigmentation; the evaluation of light therapies for different modalities; how to ensure the delivery of an exceptional guest experience; how to live to 100 and love it; the introduction of wellness and holistic lifestyle principles and the latest spa-training techniques.

“The Expand Your Business Conference is a must-attend event and will offer invaluable advice and guidance for any beauty professional looking to expand their vision and business in 2007. Visitors are able to attend a combination of the Better Business and Industry Insight stream sessions, enabling them to customise a program that satisfies their individual educational requirements and interests,” said Lauren Ebbeck, Exhibition Manager.
