Celebrity style hits the 2007 Melbourne International Beauty Expo & Conference

Visitors to the 2007 Melbourne International Beauty Expo & Conference are in for Hollywood treatment with organisers today confirming that make-up artist to the stars Linda Jefferyes, and international award-winning nail artist, Tom Holcomb, will head up a number of exciting initiatives introduced at this year’s highly anticipated event, taking place Saturday 28 – Sunday 29 April 2007, Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre.
Celebrity make-up artist to the rich and famous, and special guest Linda Jefferyes will make a once-only appearance on Saturday at 12pm noon on the Fashion Parade stage. Jefferyes, who has worked with the likes of Liz Hurley, Eva Longoria and Kylie Minogue, and was this year’s make-up creative director for Fashion Week on behalf of Alex Perry, Scanlan and Theodore, Alice McCall, Lisa Ho, Zimmermann and Collette Dinnigan, will demonstrate some of the tricks of her trade and reveal beauty secrets of the stars in her session to educate Australia’s beauty professionals on the very latest in make-up.
The Nail Bar will also debut at the Melbourne International Beauty Expo & Conference - an innovative new demonstration area featuring large plasma screens where visitors will get a detailed view of the latest nail techniques and watch the artists hard at work. Nail Bar sponsor, Creative’s New Edge, has confirmed that Tom Holcomb - internationally renowned nail artist and co-founder of Entity Beauty in the US – will be onsite to present two one-hour sessions, demonstrating acrylic nail enhancement and explaining the technology behind Entity’s beauty products which are taking the beauty world by storm.

A brand new demonstration stage will also feature at the Expo where visitors can interact with the experts, and watch and learn from the best in the industry about all things beauty. This fabulous demonstration stage will feature full seating and live camera-to-plasma screens allowing visitors to watch and enjoy in comfort a variety of demos from laser, waxing, nails and make-up, to skin and body care.
